Sunset sea kayak around Great Bernera
Join us to explore this hidden jewel in August 2023. Dramatic coastline, otters, eagles and so much more!
In addition to our Isles of Scilly trips we are running 'Featured Locations' that will differ from year to year. In 2023 we are running trips in the Outer Hebrides based from Bhaltos on the Isle of Lewis. On the west coast of this chain of islands, this beautiful location is a must see. Bright white beaches, huge rock arches, turquoise waters, incredible wildlife, all against a backdrop of mountainous terrain.
7 day trips including 5 full days of kayaking are £550 per person with a maximum of 6 per trip
Trips include 5 full days of kayaking within a 7 day window. This enables us to choose the best days for kayaking based on the weather forecast and gives you two days to explore the area or rest. It also includes your guide and kayaking equipment. Depending on your individual needs you may wish to bring extra kit such as poggies etc if you feel the cold (these are kayaking gloves, we can advise you further on this upon booking)
We will be staying at Kneep campsite situated on a long stretching white sandy beach. We recommend joining us there in your campervan/motor home or renting one of the various holiday homes nearby. We are recommending that you do not stay in a tent. The temperature is cooler and the weather is very changeable.

We have chosen this location as it is sheltered from a lot of the Atlantic swell and gives lots of different trip options from one area whatever the weather. The island has many gems to explore, hence we are asking that you have access to transport to enable A to B trips, and for us to make the most of the time you have in order to experience the variety of kayaking that is on offer. We will transport the boats you will just need to transport yourselves.
These trips are suitable for those that have spent 3 or more days in a sea kayak before. If you are unsure as to whether this trip is for you do give us a call to discuss it.
How to get there: take a ferry from Ullapool to Stornaway on the Isle of Lewis and drive 50min across to the west of the island to Kneep.
